Greetings from Oneonta! I am having such a great time so far and I know that the best is yet to come. I’m honestly so lucky to have such amazing people in my life.
Yet, here I am…it’s almost 3:30 in the morning and I can’t sleep. Ever since I was laid off, I haven’t been sleeping as I should be. I don’t know why this is the case. My only guess is that I have always kept such a busy lifestyle that now that I’m laid off, my body doesn’t know what to do with all of this energy. There isn’t an outlet for it. Now that I’m in Oneonta, I’m reminded of what I used to do. Name a club, I was in it. Graduating with one degree? Nah, let’s make that two. Intern in DC, sure! Move out of my house as soon as I graduate? Sounds like a plan. Work 7 days a week, 10 or more hours a day? Bring it on!
Now, with the exception of volunteering at the office two days a week, I sit home and I DVR things for my mom.
I need to get back to work again. I need to be busy. This is getting old.
I want a job.
