Alex in Transit(ion)

A great WordPress.com site

I can’t take naps.

I would love to but every time I try, my body is like “Alex, come on. Does the Energizer Bunny stop? Fuck no. I’m not going to doze off for a half hour. If I’m going to sleep, I want the real deal. You don’t just eat one spoonful of Ben and Jerry’s right? You keep eating and eating until you’re half way there or realize that the whole pint is gone because it’s JUST THAT GOOD. The same applies to sleep!”

I hope you enjoyed that.

Anyway, it looks like it’s more studying and work for me. Besides my inability to nap, my day has been pretty snazzy. Even though I had an umbrella, a slicker, and rain boots on, by the time I got to work my jeans were soaked and I determined that the only way to feel all warm and toasty (besides building a campfire underneath my desk to dry my clothes but something tells me that’s against a building code or two) was to ask Dunkin Donuts to toast a chocolate chip muffin. They were able to deliver on that and also said they would melt some butter right into the warm, muffiny goodness. Yummy, yummy, yummy.

Sometimes, it’s the simple things.

Hello! My name is Alex but you can call me Alexandra if you're feeling fancy. Here you'll find my adventures about exploring my new city of Hoboken, NJ, scurrying over the Hudson River to NYC, my bicycle excursions, and how I'm learning to embrace in medias res.
